The story behind Guava.

Origin

Kelly Ifill, Founder of Guava

The hardest part isn't the work. Guava started with the simple belief that Black Founders shouldn’t have to build alone, or fight for access over and over again. After years in classrooms, boardrooms, and venture, our Founder, Kelly Ifill, saw how often talented entrepreneurs were locked out of the networks and capital they needed to grow.

Today, we focus on curating rooms, relationships, and opportunities that move businesses and the people behind them, forward.

What we stand for

Accountability over isolation

Don't build alone. Entrepreneurship is a team sport.

Curated, not crowded

Thoughtful curation creates outcomes. We'd rather say no than dilute it.

Real access

Peers, advisors, and partners who actually move things forward.

Honest conversations

The uncomfortable thing, said early. No performance.
